PAL offers a traditional karate program for ages 7 and up, the style of Karate is Tang Soo Do, a Korean based martial art. In addition to learning techniques, board breaking, forms and exercise patterns, the class focuses on self-esteem, character building, respect for self and others, proper approaches to competition and general life skills for today’s youth.
All classes will be taught by staff from the Institute of Martial Arts, a member of the Cheezic Tang Soo Do Federation.
Little Ninjas is a karate program for children ages 3-6 to start developing Karate skills and concepts. Structured 30 minute classes give the opportunity for students to learn karate in a fun environment. This program has been adapted to fit different needs of a growing Karate program.
Each week of the session we focus on a different concept with our students. Classes are developed off of these concepts. At the end of the session we hold a grading where these concepts are displayed for family and friends. Session concepts include; Focus, Teamwork, Control, Balance, Memory, Discipline, Coordination, and Fitness.
Students participate in a 30 minute class. Where we review one concept each week. Each class consists of Warmups, Techniques and a game to reinforce the concept of the day.
